Bristol Harbour Festival

One of Bristol’s biggest and best-loved free festivals is returning this summer as the Bristol Harbour Festival takes over the city’s iconic harbourside for a huge weekend of music, performance, family entertainment and on-the-water action.

  • Friday: 6pm - 10pm
  • Saturday: 11am - 10pm

Celebrating Bristol’s maritime heritage, creativity and community spirit, the Bristol Harbour Festival attracts more than 250,000 visitors each year for an unforgettable weekend of entertainment across the city centre waterfront.

For 2026, organisers are “taking it back to the water” with an expanded festival footprint stretching from Thekla to Underfall Yard and even more dockside spectacles, floating performances and waterfront experiences.

The festival features more than 120 hours of entertainment across several festival zones and stages celebrating Bristol’s diverse music, arts and cultural scene.

  • Harbour View at the Amphitheatre – the festival’s main music stage featuring local and international talent
  • Bristol Rising Stage & Family Playground at Queen Square – showcasing emerging artists alongside family activities
  • Expression at Millennium Square – a creative cultural hub filled with performances and workshops
  • On The Water – watersports, floating spectacles and harbour entertainment
  • Fringe Festival – extending the celebrations into venues across the city

Family-friendly activities and entertainment will run throughout the weekend, making the festival a fantastic summer day out for all ages.
