The family day will feature a range of outdoor games, crafts and nature based activities.
Together we will explore Great Avon Wood. We will introduce you to the Publow Oak; an amazing veteran tree that is over 500 years old and measures over 10m around its trunk. Its gnarled bark, twisted branches and myriad leaves are home to hundreds of species.
Bring a picnic, cold drinks and a rug with you!
These sessions are aimed at children age 5-12 (with flexibility for siblings) accompanied by parents or carers. The day is organised on the basis that you are able to supervise and take full responsibility for any children you bring.
Please book places for each individual that will be attending each session (eg for one adult and two children please book three tickets for that session.) Full details and directions will be sent out when you register your places.
Please be aware that there are no hard standing paths at Great Avon Wood and we are not able to allow dogs on site except for assistance dogs. The person leading the day will be fully first aid trained and DBS checked.
