Next up in our family gig series: funky songs for all the family! Don’t miss this vibrant live music experience for curious young ears.

Funk is all about emphasis on the first beat, and this has a lot to answer for! It’s the child of R&B, Soul, Jazz and Gospel and sibling of Disco and Hip Hop. This family-friendly concert brings all of this funky energy to the stage, with rich rhythms and grooves to get toes tapping. It’s a chance to introduce children to the joy of live performance in a relaxed, joyful setting!

• Singalongs with well-loved tunes; think pop old and new, songs to rock out to, songs from the movies. You don’t have to be an opera singer or popstar – all noises welcome!
• Songs never heard before! The band might make up songs on the spot – from your ideas!
• Instruments and props for everyone to shake, wave, point and join in.
• Chair dancing (if you fancy it).
• Waving your hands in the air like you REALLY CARE.
