M Shed Crane Trips

Climb aboard one of Bristol’s iconic dockside cranes and experience one of M Shed’s biggest working exhibits in action.

These fascinating crane trips offer visitors the chance to step inside the historic electric cranes and discover the important role they once played in Bristol’s busy docks during the city’s 1950s trading heyday.

The cranes are the last surviving examples of the many cargo cranes that once lined Bristol’s quayside and City Docks, making this a unique opportunity to experience a living piece of Bristol’s maritime history.
