Celebrate Make Music Day 2026 with a joyful day of music, creativity and discovery at Bristol Cathedral.
Held in partnership with St George’s Bristol, this free family-friendly event invites visitors of all ages to explore the incredible sounds of the Cathedral organ through interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities and live performances throughout the day.
Families and children can get up close to the organ, discover how it works and experiment with sound while learning about the role music plays within Cathedral worship and community life.

Highlights
Mark Lee, Organist and Master of the Choristers, will lead a live organ demonstration exploring the instrument’s history, craftsmanship and extraordinary range of sound.
Visitors can also enjoy performances from the Cathedral Choir during the Sung Eucharist and Choral Evensong, alongside a special visit from the University of Arkansas Children’s Choir as part of this international celebration of music.
