Oldbury Court Estate
Oldbury court estate is a fabulous space for any occasion. The estate joins riverside paths with woodlands and links with Snuff mills. It offers peaceful walks along the river Frome with routes to Frenchay or Snuff mills. The river is home to many ducks and ducklings which are always happy to be fed.
Oldbury court has an excellent play park for children of all ages with numerous climbing frames, swings, zip wire, roundabouts and sandpits. There is also accessible equipment within the park. There is a small kiosk next to the park which sells drinks and cold snacks and plenty of seating around the park and kiosk. Toilets are situated near to the park and cost 25p to use. There are multiple bins throughout the estate and along the walks leading to Frenchay or Snuff mills. The paths to these locations are tarmac and suitable for accessibility and prams. The fields within the estate do not have tarmac paths but well-trodden paths on grass.
There are two main entrances with car parks one being at Snuff mills and the other at the top of the estate in Oldbury park car park. Parking at Snuff mills will mean a 25 to 30-minute walk up to the estate along the river Frome. The river is fairly shallow in places and great for kids to go in during the summer months or for dogs to cool off. If you take this route you will walk through the gardens which show an array of flowers during the months of spring and summer.
