WOOFYT at Bristol Cathedral

Discover the science, technology and magic behind musical sound with this exciting hands-on family experience at Bristol Cathedral.

WOOFYT, short for The Wooden One-Octave Organ For Young Technologists, is an interactive instrument designed to help children and families explore how organs create their incredible sound through music, engineering and science.

This engaging session combines creativity, technology and experimentation, making it a fantastic event for curious young minds and music lovers alike.

  • Location: Bristol Cathedral, College Green, Bristol
  • Price: Free
  • Booking: Advance booking required for WOOFYT sessions

  • 9:30am
  • 10:50am
  • 1:00pm
  • 2:20pm

Each session lasts approximately 75 minutes.

Alongside the WOOFYT sessions, families can also enjoy Crafty Cathedral throughout the morning, featuring free drop-in musical arts and crafts activities for children.

No booking is required for Crafty Cathedral activities.

This event forms part of The Grand Organ Festival, celebrating the return of Bristol Cathedral’s organ following its major restoration.
